About the instructor

Veronica Moronese

Veronica Moronese graduated in Law and International Law at the University of Verona, with a focus on the European Union’s competence in aerospace matters, continuing, over the years, to deepen research and dissemination on space law. She collaborates with the Center for Near Space, as an expert in space law and is a member of the Space Generation Advisory Council, within the Space Law and Policy Project Group.

Pedro Marques Quinteiro
Associate Professor at the School of Economic Sciences and Organizations

Pedro Marques-Quinteiro holds a master’s in human resources, work, and organizational psychology from the University of Lisbon, and a PhD in human resources management and development from ISCTE- Lisbon University Institute. He is an Associate Professor at the School of Economic Sciences and Organizations (ECEO, Universidade Lusófona). During the last decade, Pedro has worked with business companies, fire departments, polar programs, and expeditioners to enable human performance under extreme circumstances. Pedro’s research focus in the field of leadership and teamwork in extreme environments and small groups as complex adaptive systems. He is currently involved research projects supported by the Portuguese Polar Program, the Portuguese Space Agency, and the European Space Agency. In this context, he has already led two scientific expeditions to King George Island (Antarctica) and was the Medical & Safety Officer of CAMões’s Crew 0, the first Portuguese space analogue mission in history. 

Igor Ciminelli
TITAN Managing Director and Founder of School of Disruption

Founder of the School of Disruption, Igor is a renowned expert with an international background in innovation, design and management. He is a trainer for Tech Transfer and Investor Readiness programmes for the European Commission and the European Investment Bank. He is the General Manager of Titan, and with his team he collaborates on various projects with Agencies and companies in the European and US Space Industry.

Managing Partner & co-owner of LIQUIFER

René Waclavicek started his career working in design and construction planning for terrestrial buildings. In 2020, he participated in the Lunar Base Design Workshop (LBDW) organised at the European Space Agency’s ESTEC Centre in Noordwijk which was the starting point of his career in space architecture. René applies his skills to interdisciplinary research, design projects and complex geometries, including parametrics.

Managing Partner & co-owner of LIQUIFER

Barbara Imhof is an internationally active space architect and design researcher. She is a co-founder, Managing Partner and co-owner of LIQUIFER. Prior to starting LIQUIFER, Barbara did a short stint at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. She has pioneered the field of ‘space architecture’ in Europe and is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Space Architecture Technical Committee (SATC). She has been teaching at renowned institutes in Europe and the United States, for 20+ years.
